United Way of Sevier County
2012-13 Partner Agency Precertification Application Process
United Way will make its Agency Request For Funding application available online to interested agencies beginning August 30th. Any agency seeking United Way funding must be a 501(c)(3) entity with a proven track record of at least one year service to residents in Sevier County.
Deadline for applications to be received is December 1, 2012, or postmarked by that date, to be considered for funding. Applications received after that date will not be considered.
An agency seeking UW funds must demonstrate its ability to operate programs in a manner consistent with the highest standards of quality, as evidenced by compliance with United Way Agency Agreement, management and financial requirements. Each agency shall provide to United Way all required documentation along with other pertinent data, demonstrating compliance with these requirements.
Allocation subcommittees made up of volunteers from within the community will review all submitted material and discuss the material with agency staff or agency Board of Directors during an interview process. Upon completion of this review, the subcommittee will issue one of the following three recommendations to the United Way Board of Directors as a whole:
- The agency is accepted for consideration of funding.
- The agency is accepted pending satisfactory completion of any missing components.
- The agency is NOT accepted as eligible for receipt of United Way funding.
